The
house dates from 1891, but according to village lore the
foundations were laid at some point in the XVIIth century.
It used to be an inn, a tavern and a grocery. we rearranged
it according to our tastes and requirements whilst carefully
preserving all that is ancient and leaving its soul intact.
However, we did paint it in lively colours. the house is
situated in the historical center of Salvaterra de Magos
in a quiet district, with houses as ancient as their inhabitants;
then there is the local tavern, the pharmacy, the saloon
where you can play some pool and enjoy some tapas and Dona
Elvira's grocery. Then there are some old warehouses which
used to belong to the grand old agricultural enterprises
and various little palaces. It is quiet.
