The
river of my village is the prettiest one, because it passes
right through my village. And I have a boat |

It
is called "sea wolf". It is a pretty little boat
all made of wood. It can take up to 10 people, has sails and
an engine which goes "tuc tuc tuc". It sails the
Tagus from here. There are islets, some with herons, others
with horses, there are willows along the banks, you can see
little forests of poplar treesand rice paddies. The water,
with its labyrinthine passages through sand banks, hides deep
pits with eel, perch and herring, forms sandy beaches and
transports colourful fishing boats. Our Sea Wolf navigates
through all that. Having been constructed in Holland in 1917,
it is adapted to rivers and canals. One can have a pic-nic
on board or on one of the islets, enjoy some nice wine, go
fishing or simply go for a stroll; hence our pretty little
boat is part of the countryside.
